Insta-Pak 25 Expanded PTFE Gaskets for Housings & Casings
IP 25 is an expanded PTFE tape which is monoaxially expanded to be used in multiple of sealing applications that may be encountered. The product consists of a rectangular cross section PTFE tape with a self adhesive backing strip. The tape is fixed around the sealing face of one sealing surface, slightly overlapped, and then the two parts are are bolted together forming an extremely chemical and solvent resistant seal. It is a mutiaxially expanded Premium PTFE (Teflon) sheet that can be used for gasketing in flanges , casings, housings etc. It is highly stable, tear resistant and chemically inert over the entire 0 to 14 pH pH range. It is mechanically supple and strong. The sheets can be cut to precise dimensions as per the flange sizes. Custom sizes can also be made for casings. Alternatively, ready-cut sizes for various kind of flanges are also available. Once installed, it will outlive the life the flange. It is therefore called the forever gasket.
It can withstand 200 bar pressure (approx 3000 p.s.i), 0 to 14 pH. Temperature range of - 270 to + 270 deg C. Can withstand intermittent temperature of 315 deg C.
